Marinara Sauce
- 1 (6oz.) can of tomato paste
- 1 (29 oz.) can of tomato puree
- 1 teaspoon corn oil
- 4 garlic cloves, chopped
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley
- 2 teaspoons sugar (optional, to cut acid of tomatoes)
- 1 teaspoon basil leaves, fresh or dried
- ½ teaspoon dried oregano leaves
Recipe cooking method
- Saute garlic, lightly, in the oil. Let it cool
- Add can of tomato paste with 3 equal parts water
- Simmer for 20 minutes
- Add can of tomato puree with 1 equal part water
- Add the chopped parsley, basil, oregano and sugar
- Bring to boil, then simmer for 2 hours, stir often
- Serve over cooked pasta, any choice. Mix Lightly
- Sprinkle on grated parmesan cheese
