Marinara Sauce

  • 1 (6oz.) can of tomato paste
  • 1 (29 oz.) can of tomato puree
  • 1 teaspoon corn oil
  • 4 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley
  • 2 teaspoons sugar (optional, to cut acid of tomatoes)
  • 1 teaspoon basil leaves, fresh or dried
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano leaves

Recipe cooking method

  • Saute garlic, lightly, in the oil. Let it cool
  • Add can of tomato paste with 3 equal parts water
  • Simmer for 20 minutes
  • Add can of tomato puree with 1 equal part water
  • Add the chopped parsley, basil, oregano and sugar
  • Bring to boil, then simmer for 2 hours, stir often
  • Serve over cooked pasta, any choice. Mix Lightly
  • Sprinkle on grated parmesan cheese
